Three decades of dino-blasting for under fifteen bucks
The Turok Trilogy collects the remastered versions of Night Dive Studios' work on the classic N64 franchise — Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion — now on PS5. At $14.99 that works out to five dollars a game, which is genuinely hard to argue with for anyone who has any nostalgia for early 3D shooters. These aren't remakes — they're faithful restorations with updated controls and resolution, so the late-90s level design and pacing are very much intact.
Who gets real mileage out of this — and who might bounce
If you grew up with an N64 and have been waiting for an excuse to revisit these, this bundle is a no-brainer at this price. Turok 2 in particular holds up surprisingly well as a labyrinthine, weapon-heavy shooter. That said, if you've never played them and modern FPS games are your baseline, the structure and movement will feel dated quickly. These are preservation-minded ports, not modernized sequels. Worth noting: multiplayer modes are limited, so the value here is almost entirely in the single-player campaigns.
