The G91SD is a 49-inch, 32:9 curved panel running QD-OLED — not standard OLED, not QLED. QD-OLED combines quantum dot color with self-emissive pixels, which means deep blacks, wide color volume, and none of the OLED dimming tricks that frustrate HDR gaming. At 5120×1440 (Dual QHD) with a 144Hz refresh and 0.03ms response, the spec sheet is hard to argue with. G-Sync Compatible means it'll work with Nvidia cards without a certification fee baked into the price. Historically this monitor has retailed well above $1,000, so $799 is a meaningful drop.

Two real reasons to pause before buying
